Can’t Keep Still was inspired from a conversation I had with my Wife. I’d just played her a song idea about loosing a pet, and she said most of my music seems to be sad and melancholic. She loves the old swing, big bang stuff so I decided to write a track I thought she’d like… and she did.

Can’t Keep Still Is a retro pop song about the pull of music that gets people dancing. If it makes you tap a foot, sway in your chair, or jump up and dance — it’s doing its job!

Built on a walking upright bass, this track leans into a vintage jive-swing feel with bright horn stabs and a bouncy shuffle groove. Female vocals ride the rhythm with energy and lift. I love musical solo’s and this song delivers with the guitar and sax trading an animated mid-song solo.

Icebreeze is a music project focused on writing and releasing music without genre constraints or commercial pressure. Each track is treated as its own statement, guided by mood, melody and meaning rather than trends.
